Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Lincoln, but my foster parents call me "Goofy, Doofy, or Goofy Doofers." I guess I am kind of Goofy... I once saw myself walking in the mirror. I am a Great Pyranees about 6 years old and once fully up to my ideal weight will be 120+, currently under 100lbs.
I take life 1 day at a time. Typically I sleep in until about 8 or 9 don't he jealous, then I might get up if I hear you put food in my bowl.
Mostly I just want my head rubbed. Morning, noon, and night I love my head rubbed. You can rub my ears, my cheeks, my muzzle, just give me some love! If you stop, I'll remind you to keep going by placing my head in your lap.
My primary function in life (other than leisure) is to keep the yard safe. I do bark, but it's for everyone's benefit. I was bred to protect the flock!!! My favorite thing to bark at is trucks, they are just so loud they are disturbing my peace, lol Despite my size I could be a bit of an escape artist, so you'll need to have a securely fenced yard. I'm just being my breed, want to be around people and will wander to find you or the neighborhood squirrel ♥️
Walks- lets talk about walks. I do love seeing that blue leash come out and will be super excited for the first 60-90 seconds. Then I'll walk at my pace. Why are you in a rush? There are so many things to smell! Yes, I'll finish the walk with you, but please keep it short and sweet.
Though I'm not a licker, I am one of the most affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. Period. You'll get lost in my eyes and I'll warm your soul.
I get along with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. I do not have an aggressive bone in my body. Peace and love man!
Finally, I love long naps in the grass. Love them. I love sleeping in the sunshine and watching my foster Dad grill. If it starts raining, that's not for me. Nope, not going out in the rain but that's ok... I can hold it for ridiculous periods of time. Maybe I'm part camel?
I'm looking for a loving home. With or without kids. Active or inactive. I'm the perfect dog for you, promise! I am going through heartworm treatment but that doesn't need to delay finding my perfect home, I'll be better in no time♥️
