My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Dalton, born to SSRR dog, Sasha, on April 29, 2004.
Dalton is an adorable boy with pure black hair and dark brown eyes. His mom was a Rottweiler and it appears that his Daddy was a Labrador Retriever. Dalton has the Rottie behind and hair with a face that must look more like his Daddy's, but he still has that great Rottie grin. Dalton is neutered, up to date on his shots, on heartworm preventative and he also has a docked tail. He is mid-size and probably won't get to be any bigger than 55-60 pounds. He is housebroken, crate trained and already knows how to sit, "go to bed" and is doing very well on leash. Dalton loves to play with other dogs, both male and female. He is still a baby and needs lots of love & attention. Because he is so young he loves to chew and so he always needs to have something appropriate to chew on. He still takes naps and is happy to go into his crate for a long cozy nap during the day. Dalton loves to chew on rawhides, bones, pig ears, Kongs and ice. He really loves ice right now, probably because he is teething; and he will come running every time he hears someone operating the ice maker. Soft toys are a big no-no for him because he wants to see what is on the inside. Dalton also loves to swim.

In many ways Dalton is a very lucky puppy. His mommy, Sasha, was rescued from a shelter and shortly thereafter had Dalton and his siblings. He wasn't born on the streets or in a dingy shelter but yet he still doesn't have a home to call his own. Something this little fellow really really needs. He loves to cuddle and be loved and he really likes belly rubs. He does not like to be left alone in a room, partly because he is still a baby and partly because he has not had a continuous place to call home since he left his mommy. So opening your heart and home to Dalton is opening your heart to a boy full of love and promise.
