Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Dalton, born to SSRR dog, Sasha, on April 29, 2004.
Dalton is an adorable boy with pure black hair and dark brown eyes. His mom was a Rottweiler and we believe his Daddy is a Labrador Retriever. Dalton has the Rottie behind and hair with a face that must look more like his Daddy's, but he still has that great Rottie grin. Dalton is neutered, up to date on his shots, on heartworm preventative and he also has a docked tail. He is mid-size and probably won't get to be any bigger than 55-60 pounds. He is housebroken, crate trained and already knows sit, down, kiss, "go to bed" and is doing very well on leash. Dalton gets along well with other dogs, both male and female. He is looking for a home with lots of love & attention to offer him as he is one big cuddly bundle of fur and he enjoys a long cozy nap during the day. Dalton loves to chew on rawhides, bones, pig ears, Kongs and ice cubes. He really loves ice right now, probably because he is teething; and he will come running every time he hears someone operating the ice maker. Dalton also loves to play tug & swim and is also starting to like a good game of fetch.
In many ways Dalton is a very lucky puppy. His mommy, Sasha, was rescued from a shelter and shortly thereafter had Dalton and his siblings. He wasn't born on the streets or in a dingy shelter but yet he still doesn't have a home to call his own because he has not had a continuous place to call home since he left his mommy. This is something this little fellow really, really wants. He loves to cuddle and be loved and he really likes belly rubs. So opening your heart and home to Dalton is opening your heart to a boy full of love to give and a promise to adore you.
Dalton is good with children, new people, dogs & cats.
