My story

Are you looking for an easy-going adult dog to hang out with? Stella has been back in rescue for more than 800 days waiting for her forever home. And that is a long time in dog years!

In early 2020 Stella was returned to our rescue (through no fault of her own) when her family could no longer care for her. She has been doing great in her Binghamton, NY area foster home, but she is ready to find her forever home.

Her foster mom says: "Stella is a bit shy and can take a while to warm up to new people. However, she is super smart, and sweet, and extremely loyal to her people once she knows them. She knows all of her basic commands, is crate trained, and loves walks and being outside, her favorite thing is to lay on the deck and watch the deer on the lawn as they walk by." Stella is having knee surgery this month but then we hope and pray someone will be ready to adopt this quirky but devoted girl.

Stella recently had TPLO surgery and she is as active and silly as ever.

We think Stella would thrive where she can be someone's only canine. However, Stella has proved to be good with her foster family's cats. Stella is an easy-going homebody who would be happy just going for walks, and hanging out with her people on the couch. Stella needs her own special person in order to be her best self. Please consider giving this sweet girl a second chance.

Additional adoption info

We at Pibbles & More rescue animals from many situations. May it be from a shelter, bad home, or an unwanted furbaby... Once the animal is in our rescue they get the best treatment, care, love & training we can supply... So we work hard at finding the RIGHT family & home for our rescued babies. There is an adoption application that will need to be filled out, along with a home visit, vet check, personal references & an adoption donation... This fee varies from dog to dog. All our rescued animals are on flea/HW preventive Utd on shots and spayed or neutered... also all our animals are in foster care so this way we know the right home for each of our Furbabies.
