My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BUDDY is an adorable short-haired light gray neutered tabby who is almost a year old. Buddy showed up as a stray at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. He lived with other neutered and spayed cats at the fairgrounds but was bullied and beat up resulting in several trips to the vet to get him patched up. Buddy was different from the other fairgrounds cats––he is extraordinarily friendly, loves people and definitely needs a home as a household pet. He loves being petted, loves being picked up, loves being in a lap, loves being brushed––he just loves being touched and being the center of your attention. When you sit beside him, he leans into your body, gives you gentle head butts and wiggles around until your hand is conveniently positioned to pet him. Although he is still young, when given a choice between playing with toys or being with a person, Buddy prefers being with a person. Buddy still has a few battle scars on his nose and legs from past encounters with the bullies, but he is healing up nicely. Buddy does not like to be left alone and should be adopted into a household where there is someone who can give him lots of love and attention. Occasionally, Buddy will express his affection by gently rubbing his teeth on your hand but he does not bite. For this reason though, it is recommended that he not be adopted into a home with young children. Since Buddy is already neutered, he can go home with your right away.
