My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the sweetest and most social bully boy ever- Wilbur! Wilbur was saved by Jillian of Training to the Rescue on his last at a very high kill shelter in Atlanta. And boy was he ever worth saving! Wilbur is the most gentle, loving and lovable dog you could ever imagine! He is affectionate and smart and would be a good candidate for Canine Good Citizen. Wilbur adores everyone and everything; all humans, cats, and dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds. Wilbur knows his basic commands and has medium to low energy level. He is just so happy to have another chance at life! Wilbur is super content to hang around and keep his humans’ company- but he is ready to get up and go too! Wilbur walks great on a leash and is house trained and crate trained. He doesn’t need a large yard to keep him happy and would be content with urban life. His daily walk is more about socializing than it is about tiring him out! In foster care now, Wilbur is digging his foster siblings and his Kong. He shares it and his other toys well and is working on fetching. Wilbur is between 5-6 years old, 76lbs of total love and so calm and quiet in the house. Wilbur recently had cancer surgery but has now been given a clear diagnosis by his vet. He is silly, affectionate and playful and has maintained a wonderful attitude and temperament throughout his time in the shelter and his foster home. He is now ready for his forever place and will be a great addition to a very lucky home. Wilbur’s adoption fee is $250 and he is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. You just have to meet this charming and handsome best-breed example- Wilbur will steal your heart from the very first moment! For questions please email Jillian at trainingtotherescue@gmail.com or to complete an adoption application, go to: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/N1V88edh02ForIB30gCf2. Wilbur’s easy-going personality and ‘lovability’ makes him an excellent choice for your next great family member!
