My story

Mathias either likes you--or he doesn't. Like many of our cats, he is a NYC ACC euthanasia list survivor. At first we thought he was just generally grouchy and disagreeable. However, he's quite friendly with visitors. For example, instead of disappearing during the general hubbub of a recent photo shoot, he happily played with his catnip toy, then calmly curled up in a wicker basket and went to sleep. On the flip side--watch out if he decides he doesn't like you, as he will bite. That is why Mathias needs an experienced cat person for an owner.

More about this rescue

New Hope Rescue Ranch - List of Programs

Street Rescue

We network to find placement for cats and kittens that are on the streets. We have adoptable cats that are looking for homes.

Shelter Rescue

We are an approved NYC ACC New Hope Partner. This enables us to request cats that are placed on their At Risk List for medical or behavioral reasons.

Hospice

We are working to be able to offer hospice for cats that have no other alternative.

The Gabriel TNR Program/Fund Ferals

We support groups and trappers that engage in trap, neuter, return programs as it is a powerful way to curb the killing of adoptable cats.
