My story

This is Dakota (HWTH#20128A). He is a red Siberian Husky, DOB 3/26/11. He did
weigh 115 lbs and was very overweight He also has chew damage on his ears caused by flies and disagreements with the other dogs he came in with. Dakota, along
with Omaha (HWTH#20129A), Flame (HWTH#20130A), and Hildegaard
(HWTH#20131A) were relinquished to Halfway to Home when their owner
could no longer care for them. Dakota is a friendly boy who enjoys
roaming in his large kennel and hanging out in his pool and he Loves toys . He is anxious
to find a Forever family who will help him learn to walk on a leash and
love him for the rest of his life. For more information on Dakota,
please call Sandy at tele# 661-824-4495 (this is a land-line phone)

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption procedure includes an application to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.

More about this rescue

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner. Your tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 512 Rosamond, CA 93560 or you can visit us on our web site at www.halfwaytohome.net and make a donation through PayPal.
