My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Rufus! I don't really respond to it yet so am open to a new name!

I am a 1 year old Great Dane/Pointer mix (who really knows) and hail from the streets of Broadview, New Mexico. I'm about 65 pounds and am very loving and love to give out licks. I was brought to a shelter in Texas before being fostered in Colorado. I love to sniff and meet other dogs. I am not a barker and am not territorial about anything. I am medium to low energy and enjoy naps after going on a smaller walk or a run. I play well with other dogs and am pretty submissive. I just want to please my owners and come when called as long as I get lots of pets afterwards. I have a bit of separation anxiety, so for the first few months in my new home I would appreciate a human who can be with me until I learn the confidence to be by myself. I am not currently crate trained but I will go in a crate and occasionally take naps in one while my foster dad is around. I don't mind going to friends houses as long as someone is with me. I am very easy going and would be fine with kids who are dog friendly. I am not aggressive and just want to play but due to my size that might be frightening for smaller kids who are not used to my playing style.
