Boris came to us from Kosovo about 5 and a half years ago! He was adopted as a puppy and returned to us summer of 2020. Unfortunately, he had to come back to Eleventh Hour Rescue as they were about to have a baby. Boris is a sweet boy, but he suffers from anxiety at times and would not do well around a newborn baby. In fact, he would do best in an adults only home as the little ones freak him out sometimes.
Street dogs in Kosovo live an awful life. They are discarded, abused and treated horribly. Boris was lucky enough to come across some rescuers who scooped him up as a puppy but some damage was already done to poor Boris, leaving him with some lasting fearfulness. However, at the kennel, Boris has made many volunteer friends and made huge progress with them. He goes on weekly pack walks and loves his walks off property!
In a home, Boris would prefer not be left alone for long periods of time. He always wants to be with his person! Boris did live with another dog in his home, but there were a few altercations over the years and his owners and EHR believe he would be happiest as an only pet. He is just afraid of the world and has no other way to project it other than with anxiety... He needs a hero! He has now been back at our kennels for a year and a half with NO INTEREST </3
