LORELAI is in need of a new home. She is 1 year old and will be 2 yrs old on September 29, 2020. MUST BE SPAYED; SIGNED CONTRACT TO HAVE HER SPAYED WITHIN 30 DAYS (will be considered a foster until spaying certificate is presented). Free to a qualified family. Family has had her since she was 2 months old and she is now a year and a half. All was great until about 3-4 months ago. She now stalks, chases, & tries to hurt our cat. They used to sleep together and play together and now she can’t even see my cat without trying to lunge at her. She constantly tries to drag our 8 year old chow chow up the stairs by the fur on his head, leaving large scabs on his head. When he tries to sleep she goes up to him and jumps on him or bites his paws. My chow is around 50lbs so this is painful to him. He is very submissive and all he does all day is sleep and eat, so he is no way agitating her. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I now have my saint separated from our other pets for safety concerns and it breaks my heart because Lorelai is a sweetheart apart from these behaviors. Some of these behaviors are due to youth and not be spayed. Family hasn't the funds right now and feel she would thrive in a home with land and another big MALE dog to play with. She is extremely loving and affectionate but isn’t suitable for a home with smaller pets. I want to add that we have a 5 year old daughter and she is good with her. Family is hoping to find a home with no other pets or strictly large male dogs that can stand up to her and play with her. Must have property/fence for her to run and play.
