Meet JASPER! He is a chipper little guy who could easily be the world’s best Walmart greeter. He is one of the gentlest, kindest souls in the universe. He will sweetly sit at your feet and is appreciative of every pet and kind word you offer him. JASPER gets along famously with every dog, big and small. He truly thrives on the companionship of another dog and will need to go to a family that already has at least one resident dog. He is also cat friendly!! JASPER's hobbies include looking cute, patrolling the yard, doing zoomies to show how happy he is, napping in a sunbeam and making sure to say hi to everyone on his walks. JASPER is always up for anything and would make the perfect companion for any dog friendly venue. That being said, he is also completely content just lazing around the house with you. He is a dream to live with because he always minds his manners, knows to potty outside and never chews on things that don't belong to him. Though he plays with active dogs, he is also an ideal living companion for a senior. He shares his home with a senior lab named Gus. Gus isn't too mobile these days. JASPER is ever so gentle and kind with him. He spends half of each day snuggled up with Gus. JASPER really is the perfect cuddle bug and life partner. His forever family is going to hit the doggy jackpot!

JASPER is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
