My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kacey is a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Boxer, Lab, Retriever mix. Kacey has been living with me since she was 8 weeks old when she traveled to Ontario from Georgia with her 7 siblings and their Mom. Kacey is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and has no existing health conditions.

When outdoors, Kacey loves to run around, play fetch and go for long walks. When indoors, Kacey likes to sunbathe in the sunshine coming through the windows or curl up beside her humans and take a nap - she particularly enjoys lying under my office desk while I work during the day. Kacey tends to be pretty quiet and a little lazy when in the house, but she is energized the moment she goes outside! While Kacey has always lived in the city and is accustomed to smaller backyards, and the hustle bustle of busy streets, I think she would thrive in a home where she has more backyard space to move around and burn energy.

Kacey is about 65lbs and plays well with adult humans and most similarly sized dogs, however, we have found that she has a high prey drive and is best kept apart from small dogs, cats or children. Kacey would be best suited for a family with older children or no children, who integrate their dog into their lifestyle, are active, and like to be outdoors. Kacey will retreat if she hears loud noises and she sometimes scares easily, so approaching her gently and patiently is the way to gain her love and affection. Kacey has a lot of love to give and I am hoping she can find an experienced dog owner looking for a special pup to join their pack.
