My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In June we took in two chickens that were hatched in a classroom in Chicago & were 'defective' so the farmer didnt want them- Lucky had an abcess on his foot & is fine now- it is all healed- Tiny Tim had a splayed leg which we had amputated, his other foot is bent but he hops around pretty well. We were hoping they would be hens but they are roosters- and big ones- they are cornish cross as best we can tell. They have begun to crow & the crowing is scaring the guinea pigs & bunnies where they are housed. So anyway we are looking to re-home them- but as pets only- no butchering!!!- we will even supply the chicken feed as long as they live- a nearly full bag goes with them now. They need more room than we can supply here as well. They are somewhat bonded- Lucky looks after Tiny Tim- tries to protect him- it is very sweet :) Anyone interested please email or call 815-266-1342- they've got to go to a SAFE home.
