Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sandy.
Sandy is a beautiful, sweet, and eager young (11 mo) American Bulldog mix. She also has a fun & cute playful side. Sandy came to us as a stray. We were contacted by someone who had found her at a gas station. The Good Samaritan tried to take her in and give her a home but she was so scared! She hid underneath a car for two days before the lady contacted us for help. We went out and coaxed her out from under the car with milkbone biscuits, inches at a time. She was emaciated and riddled with internal parasites but we were able to get her to our local clinic and get her treated for all of her ailments. She’s packed some weight back on, is free of the internal parasites and she doesn’t want to hide under the car anymore. She’s really come out of her shell. She’s still a bit timid and needs time to adjust; however, she LOVES to be loved and she wants to be your best girl! She’s very eager to learn how you want her to behave and she listens incredibly well. We love her so but we don’t want to be selfish. We want her to move on to her forever home as quickly as possible so she can settle in and enjoy her life and her new family.
Sandy is located in Alabama and being housed in our rescue here. The adoption fee of $200 includes all age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, current flea/tick & heart worm preventative, and a certificate of health from our veterinarian. You will also receive a copy of all medical records in a pet health record folder. Transport to out-of-state locations is an additional charge of $175 (on average). Microchipping is available as well ($35 fee).
Pita & Pecan's Animal Refuge is a veteran owned and operated 501(c)3 nonprofit Alabama based rescue and all of our animals reside with us at our homes or with a foster. We adopt our animals both locally and out-of-state in order to allow us to find the best possible home for our babies of all breeds and species.
