When we adopted Maddie in 2016 we expected only regional moves for the remainder of our military service. We were wrong. Now we are expecting another cross-country move in 2021. She has a difficult time with the carrier and travel. Going to the vet is an ordeal. We want to rehome her to save her the stress and misery of a long trip.
Maddie tolerates our playful dog. When the dog is calm, Maddie can be quite affectionate. Sometimes they nap together. She did fine with cats in the shelter.
She is an able mouser. She meets us at the door when we come home. She is curious about guests but leaves them alone once she has greeted them. No litter box problems. She sleeps at the foot of the bed at night. She doesn't wake us up or get on the pillows. She likes 5-10 minutes of affection daily.
Maddie needs a childless couple or single adult. She has scratched our 9yo for no apparent reason, even though he is very loving with her. She is an indoor pet, not declawed. She is about 5 years old.
