6/7/20: Tasha here, I am enjoying life at the Farmhouse. I am an avid squirrel, rabbit & bird chaser, fortunately the creatures are faster than I am. I am playful and fun loving. I love being outside when it is not too hot, I sun bath.

I love my treats and I eat well. I am great inside and I am potty trained and crate trained... although my foster Mom doesn't make me stay in the crate. I love laying on a comfy couch and I sleep on the bed most of the time. I am a sweetheart and I would love to be your one and only!

4/18/20: She loves her people. She is very affectionate and personable. She is playful and loves to run, jump and play with balls. Appears to have a good prey instinct so she likes chasing squirrels, rabbits and birds based on that I don't think she would be good with cats. She alerts when people or cars come appropriately but does not continue to bark. She is respectful and does not tear up things... except her toys! She is curious about other dogs in a positive way but has not been dog tested.

3/25/20: Mama Tasha here or Tasha Jean as my Foster Daddy calls me. I'm living the life right now! Plus I have 2 Foster Mamas now! I've been going over to my other foster mamas house (Miss Mary Katherine) to have some girl time! She lives on an old farm house and I'm the ONLY dog there. So I get all the attention to myself. I love visiting with her. But I sometimes miss my pup, Miracle. I don't really want to give my other foster siblings a chance, I'm pretty protective of my baby girl. So that's why I get to go visit with my other foster mama :).

I've gained weight and doing well. Foster Mama Amanda took me to the doctor a week ago and they started me on Doxy to being my heartworm treatment. She says it's good for me, but all it does is upsets my tummy. But I get some wet food to take my pills so I'm a happy girl. I go for my next visit to get my bloodwork completed before my injection on April 13th. Not looking forward to the injection but mama's say they will give me extra snuggles.

2/13/20: Tasha is such a great mama! Poor girl got mastitis and is handling it like a champ. We needed to stop nursing and keep her separated from the pups (she stays on the outside of the puppy pen) she adapted wonderfully. She keeps an eye on them like a good mama. She is starting to warm up to our 3 dogs (2 boxers and a Boston terrier) we haven't fully introduced them yet as she had been protective from the puppies. But she doesn't growl anymore when they bark from the backyard. Waiting a few more days for her to finish antibiotics before we slow intro. I will say that she is a little cautious of cars driving by. I think she's still scared from being turned in. But we keep assuring her she is just fine.

We are scheduling Tasha's spay for a few weeks and afterwards she will start heart worm treatment.

Tasha will fit into any family that wants a dog to snuggle and be their best friend.

1/23/20: Tasha is doing great! It's been almost 2 weeks since the pups were born. She's a great mama and takes wonderful care of them. She's putting on weight and you can barely see her ribs anymore! Still a work in progress but once the pups are weened off nursing she should be at a normal weight. She's the sweetest girl ever. Loves to cuddle! She trusts us with her pups but still watches as we feed them or when i weigh them each morning. Unsure of how she is with other dogs yet as she's still protective of her pups. Previously they said she was good with dogs so hopefully once pups are weened we can dog test with our 3 and be sure. Tasha will be a great addition to any family!

1/15/20: On January 10th Tasha gave birth to 11 beautiful puppies. Check out Tasha’s Puppies page to see these cuties!! These puppies will need shots and deworming so if you want to donate towards their vetting and care, we would greatly appreciate it.

12/31/19: Tasha is the sweetest girl. We think she was kept outside mostly as she has no clue what to do with toys or blankets. She is house trained though, not one accident in the house since we've had her. As mentioned she is pregnant with at least 10 pups and due within a week or two. She is also Heartworm Positive which will not be able to be treated until after the pups are weened off her.

More to come on this sweet girl and her pups!

12/30/19: Carolina Boxer Rescue has some exciting news to share with you. This is our new foster Tasha. We just found out that she will be welcoming 2020 in with at least 10 puppies. . We will keep you updated as we learn more. We are currently working on an Amazon puppy wishlist.
