My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Choo Choo! We believe she is a 4 year-old pug/Boston terroir/pit mix.
Choo Choo is active and does her own thing. She is very independent and outgoing.
She is also mostly blind but we believe she may see some, maybe shadows. Either way, she is outgoing and figures it out, and does it extremely quickly without any assistance or help. And that is how she likes it! Choo Choo was born this way. Choo Choo adjusts very well and easily figures out her environment. No catering to her she does not need accommodations. She does not care for special treatment. She is no different than other seeing dogs. Choo Choo is dog-cat friendly, crate trained, and housebroken too. Choo Choo loves warm soft fuzzy heavy fleece blankets and sunbathing. She loves toys and playing with other dogs, running, wrestling, and pranking anyone she can. You see, she loves to play peek-a-boo. It's when she hides and quietly stalks her person or other dogs and jumps out pouncing announcing her presence right before she takes off leaving her prey confused! Choo Choo means no harm and is all fun and games. All though she’s a little dog under 22# she does not care to be picked up but she does love to cuddle and snuggle preferably in your chest. OKAY, truly she loves to snuggle in as she enjoys the warmth. She has never been a morning dog and rather sleep in, eat and go back to sleep. Not a fan of the cold but this won't slow her down.
Choo Choo loves to play with toys with other dogs or with people on her own terms. She will play fetch and bring her toys to anyone who will play with her. She is great at car rides and leash trained. Pretty good with walks too. Choo Choo loves the outdoors. The different sounds and scents and the soft grass on her paws. She loves mud too. She will be an amazing pet and family member.
Choo Choo is happy-go-lucky very sweet and loving. We believe she would do just fine with older well mannered children who are pet friendly. Being blind has zero effect on her and she adjusts just fine to different environments and areas of the home. She has a internal gps. She never forgets her surroundings. Choo Choo requires consistency and routine. She is crate trained and housebroken. She is a sweetheart and enjoys cuddling but enjoys playing even more. Her life motto is live laugh and keep on loving life. Choo Choo is no different than any other dog. She wants to play she wants to love, be loved, and keep on keeping on.
Choo Choo is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, corona, as well as rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and current on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important.Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.
