Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roosevelt is 3 years old and weighs in at a solid 100 pounds. Roosevelt was taken from his mommy when he was 5 weeks old & then was abandoned at a boarding kennel during the Thanksgiving holiday when he was 10 months old. He didn't have a lot to be thankful for at that time. He is now being fostered in East Texas and considers himself a country boy. Roosevelt is house & crate trained. Knows his basic obedience and loves to play with the other 4 dogs that live with him. He is a very playful boy! I think he would be too much for very small children or tiny dogs due to his rambunctiousness. He also likes to chase cats but don't know if he would hurt one. He sleeps in his crate at night with no problem and he is usually tired after playing all day. He has become trustworthy in the house when left alone.
What he really needs in a new home are a fenced in backyard (he has never offered to climb a fence to date) and at least one other playful laid back dog to play with. He gets along well with other males and females, and would love to have someone to pal around with during the day. Roosevelt has grown up in the country so is used to cows, horses and wildlife. He has never been exposed to the city, so unsure how he would take to that environment. He has shown a lot of potential to become a tracking dog, a search & rescue dog or an agility dog if you were inclined to train him. Roosevelt is easily trained & would be up for just about anything. He is such a fun & loving boy-please consider giving him is own home. If you are interested in finding out more information or adopting Roosevelt please email his foster mom Cindy Lorenz at pml5014@netzero.com.
