There is a new girl in town and you don't want to miss the chance to meet her. Tallahassee is a young 3 year old pitbull with a beautiful brindle coat. She was rescued from a rural shelter in North Carolina, along with her two puppies who have already been adopted. Tallahassee is a bit shy for initial introductions but responds to kind words and treats. Tallahassee would benefit from a experienced adopter with a quiet home who can help her continue her basic training and help build her confidence. She has acclimated easily to home living and is almost fully potty trained. Tallahassee is not a girl that would enjoy apartment living as she wants a fenced in yard of her very own with a doggie fur sibling to keep her company. With a little more training on the leash Tallahassee would make a great partner for walks in the neighborhood or near by nature trail. Even if you have to drive, she does wonderful in car rides and will lay her head on the center console. Tallahassee is not a fan of being by herself or crated but does well as long as she has a fur friend to keep her company. Tallahassee is obsessed with squeaky toys and her favorite is a squeaky hot dog, she will carry it around and sleep with it. Even when asked, she will go find her hotdog and bring it to you. Tallahassee has done well with other dogs with proper introductions and doesn't mind sharing her space with cats. She just wants what every dog wants, a safe and comfortable home filled with love. Tallahassee is heartworm positive and has already completed treatment in her foster state of North Carolina. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Due to COVID 19 we are currently able to only transport as far as Rhode Island.
