My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance is a 5 year old bully breed mix searching for his forever or foster home!

Chance is a shy, anxious dog and would do best in a quiet, adult only home without a lot of commotion. If you have a lot of visitors on a regular basis, or looking for a dog that would enjoy doggy day care, the dog park, or other activities, he's not the right dog for you. If you're looking for a constant companion, a velcro dog, somebody to keep you company and go for walks and hikes with, Chance is perfect.

Chance lives for car rides, cuddles, and playing ball (though he doesn't fetch, he just likes to tear around the yard with it in his mouth and then destroy it). He has been to swimming classes and especially loves the part where he gets an hour of undivided attention and love. He's adorable, compact, and pretty athletic. He is easily trainable and has worked with trainers at various points.

Chance has a lot of anxiety and needs slow introductions to everything new. New people, new situations, new environments, etc. He could use a lot of work in gaining confidence, in general, and when he's feeling safe and secure his personality comes out and he really shines. Chance has lived with another dog previously and theoretically could live with another dog with a very savvy person and some slow introductions, but for now he would do best as an only dog. In return he will snuggle up close and keep you warm at night, spin happy circles when you come home from work, and make you laugh every day.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fees range from $125-$350. You will be asked to fill out an adoption application and if the adoption is approved an adoption contract. There will be a vet reference check and a home check. All of this works to insure the best possible experience for the family adopting the dog and for the welfare of the dogs themselves.
