River is a cute little fella of unknown origins, best guess is some kind of terrier mix. He is full grown at 2 years old and just about 40 lbs. While River is great with those he knows, he does not like being put in situations where he is forced to interact with strangers. This boy is a country boy and not a city slicker and prefers a more calm and less social lifestyle.
River loves playing with is foster friends and would likely enjoy a similar sized playmate. He is also a cuddle bug and is up on the couch either on me or beside me at night.
River is neutered, up to date on vaccines, hw negative, on preventions and micro chipped. River would loved a physically fenced in yard to run and play in and he is potty trained with a doggy door.
River is currently located in Tennessee and the adoption fee is $200. The first step in our process is submitting the application. We are happy to set up a meet and greet once an application has been approved. If you would like to adopt River please fill out our online adoption application at http://www.safehaventn.com/. He is currently being fostered in Cookeville, TN. Out of state adoptions are considered on a case by case basis depending on the dog.

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process starts with submitting an Adoption Application which can be found on our website at www.safehaventn.com. From there you will be contacted by one of our Adoption Coordinators. Our adoption donations are usually $150 for adult dogs and $200 - $300 for puppies - depending on the animal, breed, etc. We expect that our pets will live indoors, and will be adopted to families who have the desire to add another family member to their home. A vet reference is required.
