We got Chewy as a puppy from a breeder in the summer of 2012. Well behaved on walks whether on leash or off. Plays well with other dogs, but has always been an only dog. Likes to play fetch and tug-o-war. Knows some verbal commands: Sit, stay, leave it. Good with young kids. Quickly learns home boundaries and does not run off when outside even without a fenced yard; has never gone missing. He does bark when if anyone comes to the door. He is house-trained but has been having more frequent pee accidents in the last 7-8 mos. We moved to a new home in that time and thought the accidents were due to knew surroundings but when they continued after a few mos we were concerned it could be health-related. The veterinarian ruled out any health issues and determined it was either age-related incontinence or a behavioral issue. He recently started wearing reusable male dog diapers. Another child will join our family very soon and feel we cannot give the attention he needs and deserves.
