My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dia is a senior girl looking for a good home. She needs a little time to warm up just like any dog that has been at the shelter. Dia has been bounced around and finds herself at the VAO competing with the youngsters. She doesn't ask for much just a warm bed and a family of her own to love. Dia would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
If given the chance Dia promises to love her person unconditionally. Come meet her at the Orphanage today.

Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning.
On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.

More about this shelter

The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space.
We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
