Hi, my name is Rizzo and I was adopted as a puppy from Arrow 5 years ago. My mommy loved me very much and said I am a very good boy. My mom’s mom died from cancer recently and now her dad has it too. I have had to stay in my kennel a-lot, and am lonely. My mom knew this just wasn’t fair to me and knew there must be a family just waiting for a great dog like me. I like other dogs, but I bark at them at first... then I get excited and playful, I haven’t lived with a cat but my mom said I would likely just be curious at first. My mom said I would probably be good with other furry creatures too because I found a rabbits nest recently and pulled it out, sniffed all of the babies and then walked away. I need a harness for a walk because I tend to pull. I am a lab mix, with a dash of bloodhound thrown in. I am house, and crate trained. I love to play fetch but you have to buy me an indestructible one, I like to eat the other kinds in seconds. Sorry, I can’t help it. I have never shown any kind of aggression towards any other creatures, but I will bark at anyone who tries to sneak up on my Mom so i might fake out bad guys for you. I’m not very fond of men. I growled at the last man I tried to live with. Kids are ok, but I’m very interested in them. I am a big boy, I weigh 80 lbs. I love to get brushed, and give kisses. I am up to date on all my vaccines and am healthy, active, loving and just a really good boy. My dream home is with an all female household. I like to lay on your lap even though I might squish you. I have been through a lot of changes recently and I would really like a nice quiet home and someone who might like to take me on hikes or walks. I love to smell the yard all over!
All dogs adopted are spayed/neutered, vaccinated including Rabies if over 14 weeks, microchipped, fecal tested, heart-worm tested if over 7 mo at arrival, flea/heartworm/tick preventative given monthly. Dogs are in foster homes in various locations but we are located in Columbia, TN. All dogs can be transported for free to adopters in the US and Canada.
