My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Do you need inspiration? More purpose in your life? More courage?  Mini  is a soulful 11-year-old, 11-pound little powerhouse. She wants to love you like no other!  When  Mini  came to FDR she was so overweight at 18 pounds.

Mini  is partially paralyzed and was dragging her back end when she first got to her foster mom's house. She has had physical therapy and excellent care and diet. Now she can walk! Of course, she wobbles sometimes, and ideally, a home without stairs would be perfect but she has managed some stairs.

The issue that will never go away is that she cannot feel her bladder and will need her new parent(s) to express it. This is not hard and foster mom can teach you. Since she is so low to the ground, she does get chronic bladder infections and needs to be on medication(about $30 a month). This also causes her to leak sometimes between bladder expression but don't despair! There are cute diapers for her to wear anywhere you might worry about leaky pee.

Mini  is a trooper and will inspire you with her can-do spirit.  Mini  comes with physical therapy tools. Her adopter will get a special harness to support her back end on walks, an EMS machine to stimulate her muscles, and a balance disc to continue her exercises. Min's energy is fabulous and she seems more like she is about five years old. She gets along with other dogs but does not like to share food, so should be fed separately from other pets. It's her time to be spoiled. Are you that special person who can take  Mini  into your heart and home? She will adore you for it.
