Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Daxon and as you can see, I'm a handsome 8 month old black tri Aussie, ready to find my Furever home! My foster mom says I’m a fun, active, loving and sweet boy who wants a family that loves to snuggle and play with me!
I think I’m a water dog and love everything water! I love chasing the hose when you’re watering your garden, running through a sprinkler and attacking the jets, or just playing in the pool! Either way I’m a water dog at heart! I love people, too. I mean really. And kids? Love them, too! You can read more about me below. Could you be my new forever family? I can’t wait to meet you!
Love, D
More Fun Facts About Daxon:
Daxon would be best suited with a family that has a fenced yard and would love a family that enjoys water sports. He hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like and has so much personality! He is ok with other dogs. And by that, we mean, he LOVES his 3 Aussie foster siblings and should have a friend to help run off some of his energy. Dax is a little leery of new dogs at first and can alarm bark at them. A slow introduction to other dogs will be necessary, as he is nervous at first. It would be best for him to meet his potential new fur siblings before going home.
Daxon went to a horse show with his foster mom and was okay with most horses. All the people there loved him. He has not been tested with cats, but he does seem to have a bit of a prey drive with birds and squirrels.
He’s fabulous in a kennel and walks great on a leash. He’s a complete love bug and will lay on top of you to get his belly rubbed.
Daxon is almost potty trained. In his previous home he used a dog door so he is “used” to going out when HE wants to but now he’s learned to ring a bell on the door when he wants to go out. He has minimal accidents and keeps his kennel clean at night.
Daxon is a little nervous about car rides but getting way better! He loves running in the yard and knows how to sit and shake. He also knows the word COOKIE. He’s just an all around smart Aussie!
Daxon is up to date on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative, on monthly preventatives, and recently neutered. He weights about 40 pounds. He’s being fostered in Lincoln, NE.
