My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alexander - Dachshund/Chihuahua Mix - Male - 4 Months - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit www.twyla.org

Meet Alexander: this little guy is as cute and active as they come! Alexander is about 4 months old, we think a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix based on looks and behavior and a gem to have around. He LOVES playing with other dogs in his foster home, likes toys and food. He doesn't like being alone or being crated, but will relent once he's tired enough. As he's only 4 months old, he is still learning house training and will need time, patience and opportunity to continue learning this, so a work-at-home or stay-at-home situation would be best, puppies this age cannot hold their bladders for very long. Doggie doors are discouraged as they allow for unsupervised time in yard and he is small, active and curious enough to get himself into lots of trouble in no time if left unsupervised.

Alexander is looking for an active home with a compatible dog in it for him to play with - he can would be find with older kids and he has not yet met a cat, so we don't know how he would react. Alexander is feisty and a little vocal (hello Chihuahua genes) and is looking for a family to embrace his character while gently and patiently teaching him how to be a good family member.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
