24 April 2009 - Introducing Pepper!

Meet Pepper. He’s 5-6 years old and came into the rescue as a stray. He may not have a permanent home, but he has a priceless personality. He loves to play, go for walks and snuggle on the couch. He rarely barks and loves to put on a show by chasing his tail then giving you a play bow to check out your reaction. He wants to please and wants you to like him. Ancho sometimes shies away from strangers, but his reticence wears off within minutes. He does well with his human foster siblings. He knows how to use the dog door and uses with only a few accidents. He knows basic commands and walks fairly well on a leash.

One more thing about Pepper … he has no teeth. We don’t know what happened to them since he was a stray, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. He eats dry dog food and even likes rawhide chewies. Since he lacks teeth, though, he would do better in a home with dogs who don’t try to dominate him since he has no way to defend himself. Pepper is a loving and loyal companion, and an easy dog to have around.
