Ellie has been with our family since September of 2010. She was born sometime in March in 2010 and we adopted her from a rescue out of state. She has been a wonderful addition to our family but unfortunately age has made her behave poorly with our children. She has nipped/bitten our children in the last few months and sadly we can no longer keep her with us. This is heartbreaking given the love and memories we have shared with Ellie but as she has aged her tolerance for activity and the constant motion of the children has weathered.
She is a truly sweet girl - listens very well, walks nicely on a leash, she is affectionate with adults (not children), ignores other animals mostly (does better as a single pet) and has never run away. She is long haired and does shed.
Ellie has a clean bill of health - no medical issues, blood work is good and the vet just updated her Rabies vaccination. Our vet said we cannot keep her as she may harm our children more and we do not to put her down.
