My story

Buzz is active, playful and shy until he gets to know you. Then all Buzz wants is to be petted and love. Buzz needs a little extra time and patience to be your new best friend. Buzz loves his sister, Posie. Buzz and Posie must be adopted together. Both are fine with other cats/kittens and is ready for his new forever home. Please contact for more information and to meet Buzz and Posie!

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County. We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts. We are not a shelter, We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed. We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities. We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
