My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piglet was born in a commercial kennel. When she came to us (12/3/04) she was completely hairless and walked with her ankles bent backwards. We found that this is a nutritional deficiency called "down on the pasterns" and with a good diet, she has re-grown her hair and her legs have straightened out.

Piglet still does not understand potty training. We are working on this, but her progress is very slow. She's a little social butterfly. She loves everybody and will gladly cuddle with anyone who picks her up. She adores children, and gives them lots of kisses. She had never snapped or bitten anyone. She does get a little upset if the other chihuahua tries to eat while she's eating. It's not really food aggression, it is only directed at the one dog.

Due to Piglet's multitude of medical maladies, she has not yet been spayed. She has her rabies vaccination and is currently being treated for ear infections. Once her ears are completely healed she will receive the rest of her routine vaccinations and go in for her spay and microchip. We're expecting that Piglet will be ready to go to a new home in late March, early April. Piglet's adoption fee will be the cost of her veterinary care. We will provide invoices to show exactly how the fee is broken down. The veterinary clinic is estimating Piglet's bill to be between $300 and $400 to have everything done.

An adoption application is available online at http://www.silverdragonpets.com We do require a veterinary reference, home check, contract and adoption fee.
