Momma dog and 5 puppies need sanctuary and a foster to allow them to grow and nurse.
Momma Petra NEEDS OUR HELP! This brand new momma dog was part of a trio of dogs that were left behind when their owners were evicted from their home about two weeks ago. They left behind 3 dogs and one of them was this pregnant girl named Petra (puppies were not born yet). A brand new Nashville resident lived down the street and soon learned that dogs were left behind and the house was unoccupied. The dogs were alone for almost two weeks. Some kind souls living across the street from the empty house had been feeding them what they could spare and giving them water from time to time whenever they could. When law enforcement confirmed that the house had indeed been vacated, our Critter Cavalry Rescue volunteer scooped up the three dogs as fast as she could! They were hungry, filthy, scraped up, scared and infested head-to-toe with fleas. They’ve come a long way in the past 48 hours and we can’t wait to get them where they need to be in order to start living the good life forever. Now momma has 5 live puppies that she is nursing and we need to find her a quiet and secluded foster home that can offer her a place to continue to raise these beautiful puppies. Critter Cavalry Rescue will provide all the funds and supplies needed to help this family. We need help placing this family in a great foster home for a little while. Please email us or call.
