My story

Rufus is an amazing dog looking for his forever soulmate to love! He loves all people, he’s super mellow and all around just a cool dog. Rufus needs a permanent home and he’ll be the most loyal companion. Rufus is a very happy boy that enjoys a good cuddle session. He is assertive in playgroups but tends to overlook other dogs when leash walking (his favorite thing to do). It’s still best that he be an only furbaby in his future forever home. He will engage in playing with toys or a game of catch with his human. â£ â£ Rufus was found as a stray but is a well adapted senior dog with a great personality. Golden boy Rufus is responding well to a natural real food diet and is up to date on his shots, vetted, neutered and chipped. He's in good health, has a strong body, and is a true wiggle butt when he struts off on his walk. For the person looking to meet a laid back people friendly pup, Rufus is number #1! ***************************************************************

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
