My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xena - Lab mix about 2. She came to us with five puppies. She was thin and had terrible diarrhea. With some great help from staff at Hernando Country Animal Services and lots of love she finally has healthy poops. Her babies have all been adopted and are doing amazing in their new homes. Xena love love loves people. She tucks her head into you while get lots of snuggles. Very affectionate girl. Xena is very confident with her people. She sits very nicely and likes her face caressed. She likes to bounce and leap to chase the ball, but doesn't pick it up and bring it back. She isn't too interested in that. We are helping Xena to get comfortable around other dogs. She is reactive to most other dogs, but getting better with lesser reactions. We will continue to work with her on this until she is adopted because we believe it is that she just didn't have much interaction with them prior to rescue. She was very young have puppies already and was an amazing mommy. She is very smart. She needs a little leash work, we are working with her on that too. Frisbee is next, she seems to be more inclined to do tricks! So we will be helping her with those basic cues. She is also learning to keep her paws down, she wants to hug!
