My story

Handsome Archer (Archie) is a very well-behaved boy in the home. He has never had an accident in the house, does not root through the garbage, or counter surf. He will only get up on the couch when he is invited. That being said, Archie is a sweetheart and he does like to be invited onto the couch for a good snuggle, and is happy to spend hours in the evening that way. Archie loves retrieving and he enjoys a good ball throwing session. He also loves going for a ride with you, he will hop right in the car very happy to accompany you.

He has come a long way from being an extremely skinny tail-between-the legs dog having to fend for himself on the streets. All he needs now is his own forever family to dote on him and make up for the hard life he previously had and their love will be returned tenfold. Archie is an independent dog and doesn't need constant touch or interaction, but he will quietly spend hours laying at your feet while you're working or relaxing and will sleep all night by the side of your bed. He will make a great walking buddy and companion in a calm home without children. He is fine left home alone when you're gone. Archie does take a little while to relax with new people so patience from his new family will be key.

No kitties or small animals for Archie he has a prey drive and will chase. He can be reactive when he sees other dogs when out for a walk, though that can be managed. Archie is expressive and can be a bit of a barker/whiner when he gets excited. He needs to be the only dog in the home and will be your biggest fan. No dog parks or off leash with other dogs.
