My story

Please consider sponsoring a cat for a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need.

China Doll was a tiny, scared little girl when she was rescued from a colony of kitties behind a local hotel. She would hide in the trees and all you could see were two big green orbs staring back at you. It took nearly a year to trust her rescuer enough to be trapped, and several months of socialization in foster care for her to trust, relax and come out of hiding. China is still a tiny kitty and always will be, but she has blossomed into a very affectionate and playful little lady who gets along well with other kitties, and loves to birdwatch and dance and preen on the cat tree. She always greets you at the door when when you enter, and she loves to be petted and brushed. How can you resist her with those beautiful, vivid green eyes staring into your soul?! China will be happiest in a quiet home with good birdwatching windows.

Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, FeLV test, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org or 850-780-3223.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer organization saving lives in the Florida Panhandle through adoption, spay/neuter and TNR of community cats. We are always in need of foster homes and volunteers. If you find a kitty or dog and are willing to foster it - we can help you find it a furever home. Can't foster or adopt right now, help socialize kittens. The more people the kittens are exposed to the better is for them. We can always use volunteers. Work from home, work directly with animals, or work non-directly with animals helping us raise money or distributing fliers. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spay or neuter your pets! Escambia County pound puts down over 1,000 animals a month! Through spay/neuter we can reduce that number.
