My story

My name is Ginger. I am a gorgeous little red headed angel....but sometimes my halo may get a little bit tilted....BUT DON'T let that stop you from coming to see me because we really could become the best of friends. I am a protector dog, that is my job. If you are my human, I will protect your and our house. If someone comes over that you know, and I don't know them... please put me in my kennel or in a secure room. That's all it will take to keep me safe as I will try to keep you safe. I really am a great dog, everyone tells me that. I just don't know why I am still here. Maybe you need a good girl that can be your best friend and we can keep each other safe? More about this shelter

The Forest County Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill shelter in the great north woods located in Crandon, Wisconsin. We rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out all breeds of dogs and cats. Every animal is given a thorough examination by a veterinarian before placing them in a loving home and all animals are tested for Lyme disease, heartworm, feline leukemia and other infectious or debilitating diseases. They are vaccinated, de-wormed and spayed or neutered. All animals are lovingly cared for until being placed in their “fur-ever” family. Our website is www.forestcountyhumanesociety.org.
