My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Claire was the last of her litter to be brought into safety from a large rescue project in the town of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was adopted early in 2019, and returned to Stray HELP about 17 months later. As the adopting family grew - to include more children and animals, Claire spent most of her time under furniture and hidden from view. The family felt she would do better in a quiet home, and we agree.

Claire is a stunning dilute calico that is incredibly affectionate, but quite timid. She is very curious and likes to observe her surroundings. When she feels safe, she loves to explore. Claire would be very happy with companion dog company, but prefers to be the only cat. A doting family (older children) who can spend plenty of time fawning over this love bug would be ideal.

We'd love to see her in a quiet home that will dedicate themselves to caring and loving her. She is a young lady with lots of love to give her adopter!

Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination.
