My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Michelle is a Hamburg Mutts for Freedom pup - please contact them directly to meet her!

Michelle was saved from Clayton County, GA and is the sweetest girl in the world! She always wants to be in your lap. She’s very curious but can also be cautious about new things. With her human's encouragement, she’ll try just about anything. She’s also very food motivated which is always a positive for training. Michelle prefers and loves dogs larger than her! Especially boys

Michelle had a very hard past but now she knows that her life is good! She is crate trained and has done so well with her potty training. We feel Michelle would do best in a home with children over 10 and a (physical) fully fenced in yard. She has come so far and learned how to be such a good dog with her wonderful trainers.

If you would like to adopt Michelle and you live in the Buffalo, NY area please go to hamburgmutts.org and submit an application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet. Why we do it: 4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States. That is 300,000 a month Over 11,000 each day Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
