My story

This friendly, happy-go-lucky guy ended up a resident of the Wood County, Texas Jail only because his owner moved away and abandoned him. During his two-week stint, he was taken to a vet and received a thorough medical exam. He tested heartworm negative and received a six-month Pro-Heart Injection. He also received a rabies shot and the usual vaccinations. He is now in the custody of Lake Country Ladies to the Rescue. Chewy loves people; his tail is constantly wagging to let you know he'd like to get to know you. He is neutered, housetrained, walks well on a leash and enjoys truck rides. He is not aggressive towards other dogs. His adoption fee is $150.00. We encourage potential adopters to foster our dogs for a few days to see how well they like their new home. We require a home visit and even after the adoption is finalized, we ask that you keep in touch with us, and let us know how he's doing. At any time in the future, if there is a change in the adopters' life and they can no longer care for him, we ask that he be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded.
