My name is Justin Timberbark because I am told I am really good looking, and it is true that I believe in love. I am a Border Colle/Husky mix --18 months old, 55 pounds and I need your help finding my forever people and my forever home.
I lived the first part of my young life on a chain, with two other dogs who I loved very much, especially the lady dog -- she was my everything. But life on a chain is no way for three dogs to live, so we were rescued. Now we are all looking for the good life.
I’ve had to do a lot of learning in the last few months in foster care. They say I am doing great. It helps that despite all I’ve been through, I still love people. I am nervous at first – it is so hard to trust once you’ve been burned. Your patience and affection and consistency will help me learn that the world is a good place. I know I can learn to love again – it’s just my nature.
I picture us with a big yard, running and playing fetch. I see us running on the beach or hiking in the woods. I see us as adventure buddies who can go all day, then have a BBQ to cap off a perfect day. Maybe you already have a lady dog? I’d love to meet her. I am not a big fan of other male dogs, but I love the ladies!
For all my active nature, I will do best in a calm home. If you have older kids, that’s fine. Cats are definitely not for me. I’m smart and I’ve got working dog in my blood, so I could do agility or other activities that keep my mind sharp.
