My story

FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED FOR OUR SWEET ZARA!

METRO ATLANTA AREA ONLY

PLEASE EMAIL passionforanimals5017@gmail.com (no calls, please!  Quicker to email)

Zara is a sweet, pretty girl who lived at the shelter for some time but didn’t do well there (like most dogs) because it was a very scary place for her.  She was fearful of men & didn’t like to be restrained.  Zara was tested with a couple of male dogs at the shelter and did fine.  We think she might enjoy older kids (no small children) since she likes to play, too, but is very gentle.

A volunteer decided that she needed to get out of the shelter so took her home to her foster her.  She’s been w/the foster family who board/rescue other dogs and has earned the trust w/this family, including the man in the home.  She still is uncomfortable being restrained; but with patience, kindness, nurturing, and love (traits all animals should get, especially those that come into rescue scared and untrusting), she will adapt.

Zara is completely house-trained and has wonderful manners inside the home.  She does not chew on anything nor does she do any damage in the home – she’s that good!  She loves to run around in a yard, chase balls, and play with other dogs.  See her videos:

Zara is an Aussie mix, about 3 years old, weighs 57 lbs., spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped.

Because we are not a shelter, do not have a boarding facility, and are not connected with any other agency, we always welcome foster homes where animals can stay temporarily. We also welcome all tax-deductible donations from individuals or foundations. No donation is too small.
