*** COURTESY POST ***
This dog is not at PAL. He is with the present owner.
Meet HENRY!
He was adopted as a 12-week old puppy. Lived great with an alpha female border collie, male catahoula/lab (not littermates) and a male medium size dog. Unfortunately, the alpha female died from cancer early this year. Also, Mom recently had a baby. Between these two major life-changing events, HENRY is uncomfortable with the situation; he thinks he has to protect the baby and is trying to become the alpha and exert his authority/dominance in the dog pack. Unfortunately, now he does not get along with the other male catahoula/lab.
The owners are extremely heartbroken but feel HENRY needs a new home.
Per Owner: HENRY is awesome with all ages kids (great with kids of family/friends ages 2-13 years old) ; has been around and good with both male and female and small-large size dogs (meet and greet is required); unknown about cats; is housetrained and cratetrained.
Medium-high energy; very playful; very loving and happy; loves to fetch balls; knows: sit, down, come, load up (rides in back of pickup); also rides inside a car; has never bit or growled at anyone; lets you take food/toys away; respects boundary of fence; does not chase cars; does not urinate when scared; comes when called; easy to train.
HENRY is a gorgeous tan and black brindle, just 1.5 years old, approx. 75 lbs.
He is Catahoula and Labrador Retriever.
