Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shirley is a huge lovebug and wants to be around her human. Will even give some kisses. Her foster mom says she often wakes up with Shirley laying on top of her. Loves the feather wand toy. A favorite spot is the arm of the chair with her arms and legs splayed out on each side. Such a goober! She is okay with dogs provided they leave her alone. Would prefer to be the only cat, but would be okay with others after a slow introduction.
Shirley was let outside by her previous owner and is now FIV positive. This is not a terminal disease. FIV+ is transferred thru sex or deep bite wounds, which is how she contracted it. When we picked her up, she had been biten, and since it takes six months to show positive, we guess this was not the first time it happened. She is spayed, so sex is not a problem. She is sweet and has not shown any signs of aggression to other cats. Keep up on annual vet visits and maintain her health. She should live a normal life.
If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $110. covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
