Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once
they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX, so much is known
about their temperament, training level and personality. Thank you for wanting to adopt!
Ok, I know what you are thinking; my name has been done and done again!! So, don't shoot the messenger, I didn't name myself!! My sweet Rescue Angel thought that I look and act like the original Benji, hence, my moniker:)
Little known fact; The original Benji from 1974 (named Higgins) was found in a Burbank animal shelter as a puppy! So, we already have a lot in common!! I was found in a high kill shelter in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas!! My lucky day, fo'sho'!!
My Foster Mom says that I love to be with hoomans and give kisses! By nature, I am sweet, affectionate, funny, and entertaining...wait uno momento...maybe I should go into acting like my namesake?
I am only 18-24 months old, so have a long career...oops...life ahead of me to share with the right person/couple/family. I have genetics from a couple of amazing breeds; Cocker Spaniel, Poodle and Schnauzer . I am fully growed at 20 pounds. The perfect size dog that can go on moderate hikes and still snuggle up in the bed next to you without "dogging"the bed (canine humor; should read "hogging"the bed! :) Maybe a career in comedy?
Although I enjoy my daily walks, I am also content on rainy days to curl up on the couch and watch Turner Classics (OK, it doesn't have to be Turner Classics; you can control the remote, I guess!)
I walk well on leash and am very adaptable to new surroundings ("method" acting, I think it is called :)"
