Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Humphry was found 2 years ago as a small kitten crying inside of a car wheel on the streets of Philadelphia. I was employed in the local shelter system at the time, and the night I found her, a man experiencing homelessness who i had bonded with through work passed away. As a memorial, she acquired his name and seems to enjoy being called this still, so why not? My goal was always to find a forever home for Humphry somewhere else, but she immediately bonded with Wolf, my permanent cat of now 10 years, and I had trouble finding a willing friend, despite her charming many visitors.
We moved to NYC together not long afterward.
Since Covid 19 has hit, like many folks, I have been confronted by the uncertainty of the future. I currently live month to month on an apartment lease in Queens, but fear the reality and potential complications of ever moving again with two cats on grocery worker wages. Though Wolf and i will miss her, I am confident there is a better home for Humphry somewhere.
