Hi! My name is Daisy. My caretakers at RCHS would describe me as being in the YELLOW category. Similar to dogs in the GREEN category, dogs in the YELLOW category are generally confident, outgoing, and sociable with dogs and people. They might be silly or serious, energetic or laid-back, independent, or a follow you everywhere dog. A little training will go a long way for these dogs. Dogs in the YELLOW category are good for adopters that understand that, although they may not be perfectly trained, the dog still can be the perfect dog for them.
Dogs are assigned to color categories using any previous owner notes, general handling, as well as staff and volunteer observations. As we continue to get to know the dogs and gather further insights into their personalities, colors may be adjusted accordingly.

If interested in adopting Daisy, an adoption survey and instructions can be found on our website.

Why adoption is a great option

Daisy, a Encinitas Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Encinitas, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Encinitas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encinitas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encinitas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encinitas paves the way for another one to be saved.
