Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This lovely tuxedo cat was discovered trying to scrounge a living behind a business park. He was captured and fixed as part of a feral cat spay/neuter program. He ended up being called “Jimmy” … because he was trapped behind the gym :) This handsome boy has learned to enjoy the company of his human friends, and is now looking for his permanent home!
Jimmy’s temperament is shy and demure, and very sweet with the people he grows to trust. He looooves to be petted and scratched, though doesn’t care much for being picked up and carried around. He really favored his first foster mom, and would follow her everywhere and roll around at her feet. Sadly, this foster mom passed away, and for the first couple months Jimmy was withdrawn and clearly very sad. Over time he warmed up to his new caretakers, but ideally, he would find that forever home and companionship to finish healing his heart.
Jimmy will blossom in a relatively calm and quiet household. He will likely take some time initially to settle in and feel comfortable. He gets along beautifully with multiple other cats, but does not seem to be really needy for other cat companionship, so he should also do well as a single cat. We are not sure if Jimmy has had any experience with dogs, but could likely learn to get along with a calm and cat-friendly dog if introduced gradually. Because he’s easily startled, he probably wouldn’t be a good fit for a home with younger kids.
Jimmy is about 5 years old, has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested FIV/FELV negative. He has always done a great job of using the litterbox! There is an adoption donation to the Feral Cat Foundation (an all-volunteer organization, which helped get him out of a bad situation and provided all of his medical care) to help us continue our work with homeless cats.
Please note that due to the public health situation, in-store adoption events are temporarily suspended, but please reach out by phone or email if interested!
