My story

ANGEL IS BACK, and better than ever.

Last year she suffered a torn cruciate ligament in her left hind leg. She had recovered fully from the surgery when--as so often happens--she tore the cruciate in the other leg. Second surgery, second long spell in rehab, but she has done beautifully. She has been a trouper throughout, and she's now ready to give her brave, happy heart to a family forever. This is what she has to say:

"Hi! I'm Angel. At heart I'm a goofy girl who loves to play and loves to cuddle. I was unfortunately neglected in my early life, but since I got rescued I've had nothing but good care and love. My foster moms have taught me good manners, I learn fast and I love to please.

These past two years I had a couple of setbacks when I hurt my knees, but my surgeries were 100% successful. All that down time in recovery was BORING, but my foster mom made sure I had toys and the right kind of exercise and lots of snuggles.

Because I am a strong, active girl, I need a securely fenced yard fro my playtime. Please let the people at the rescue know if you'd like to give me a home."

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) no-kill animal rescue organization with a focus on pit bull terriers and American bulldogs. We are committed to providing the companion animals in our care with any and all necessary veterinary treatment, training and socialization. Any animal we take in has a home with us until adopted. We depend on donations from the public and the hard work of our volunteers in order to fulfill our mission, which is to reduce the number of abandoned or mistreated pit bulls and American bulldogs through:

1) education of the public on the characteristics of these wonderful dogs; and of pit bull caretakers about the responsibilities of having this type of dog as a companion;
2) assistance: with spay/neuter and other medical expenses for responsible owners; and
3) rescue, rehabilitation and placement.

All our rescued pets are evaluated for temperament, receive all immunizations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered prior to placement. All dogs have tested negative for heart worms and receive regular preventative prior to adoption.
